Cardblocks Rotunda Set

$2799

Description

f you already have our BUILDING BLOCKS SET 50, you can include the ROTUNDA or its parts in the constructions made of our blocks.

ROTUNDA after folding has a diameter of 14 inches.

In architecture, a rotunda is a building on an oval or round plan, covered with a dome or a conical roof. Modern rotundas can also have a flat roof. This solid was already known to builders in antiquity. The most famous example of a rotunda is built in the 2nd century AD. Pantheon in Rome.

In the Baroque and Classicism, the rotunda appeared as a garden building or part of the palace - e.g. the rotunda in the Palace on the Water in Łazienki Park in Warsaw. The Panorama Racławicka building in Wrocław is also an example of a rotunda.

When ROTUNDA is combined with DOME and BUILDING BLOCKS available in the Cardblocks system, you can get incredibly spectacular spatial solids!

ROTUNDA structural elements can be used to build arches, vaults, and many more.

Forming a solid is simple, in addition, modifications are possible at any time. It can be a temple, a pavilion, a shopping mall or a shape born in your imagination, with no reference to reality.

Most importantly, the participant has contact with classic and timeless forms that carry great cultural value. And for the youngest, a new world opens up: concepts, solids, shapes and European heritage.
